Welcome to our unique honey sweet-making workshop!

Discover how traditional honey sweets are made during a workshop led by a beekeeper.
At one of our partner venues, you’ll put on your confectioner’s outfit — a hairnet, apron and gloves — before preparing your own sugar paste and making your own sweets.

The recipe combines one-third honey from Le Rucher de Prats d’Amont, one-third
organic white sugar and one-third organic cane sugar. You’ll then discover the various stages of cooking and processing, before learning how to work the mixture to create your own honey lollipops or honey sweets.

This is an opportunity to learn more about honey, the beekeeper’s craft and the distinctive characteristics of locally produced honeys, whilst working alongside the artisan. You’ll leave with your creations and a whole new way of experiencing local honey.

About Le Rucher de Prats d'Amont

My name is Arnaud Vanbalberghe. I now have around a hundred hives, which are kept on the plains from January to April, before being moved up to our plateaus from May to December. I offer honey, beekeeping courses, visits and tastings.
